Mission Statement
The natural, technological, and human resources of our planet will change drastically in the coming century. An inclusive empowering society will be better for the individual and necessary for the community.
SIP is a not-for-profit organization that aims to develop a scalable and sustainable model for social entrepreneurship. It creates a local and global social entrepreneurial community that brings positive transformation to society.
Purpose
The Yale Chapter of SIP is the first international chapter of Social Innovation Park Ltd., a Singapore-based not-for-profit organization. Our purpose is to be:
1) a pilot organization whose models and methods may be replicated and adapted by other chapters within the US and around the globe;
2) a long-term, self-sustaining organization that benefits the Yale metropolitan community.
SIP is an inclusive platform for projects that promote the common good. Our model:
1) creates and trains tripartite teams of community members, corporate professionals, and social entrepreneurs, who share resources, energy, expertise, and ideas;
2) connects each social enterprise team to the international SIP network to mobilize human resources globally and cultivate a one-team mentality.
The Yale Chapter of SIP will consist of a group of capable and compassionate students, faculty, and community members who will:
1) establish a visionary and pragmatic working relationship with the private sector and social causes;
2) develop an e-platform to be used within each and between all social enterprise teams.
